Safety: Has it become a four letter word in your workplace?

Every time you turn around there is a new safety ruling or a change to the existing rule. Safety doesn't have to be viewed as a government hassle. Safety, viewed from a profit standpoint, takes on a very positive aspect. An employee who uses safety glasses profits by keeping his eyesight while the company profits because time and energies are not diverted filling out claim forms. Safety is as simple as cleaning up machines and work areas, wearing safety glasses, making sure dust systems work correctly, providing sufficient lighting, reading the directions first, and making sure guards are in place. Safety should be a matter of pride with you and your employees. Learn what can make your work environment safer. The first place to look for information is your Workers Compensation Insurance as most have a printed safety training program available upon request.
