What do we mean by "degree"?
We define the degree of our V-cutters by the degree of the groove made by the router bit.
Some people define the degree based on the degree of the material remaining. Others refer to the degree of the cut from vertical. Thus sometimes people request a "45° cutter" when they need an #H-V090 (a "90° V-Cutter") or an #H-VS090 (a "90° Small Body V-Cutter"). If you are not sure what degree to order, study these diagrams.
The degree of the cutter is highlighed in red and slightly enlarged. This number is included in the part number.
Our 60° cutter is available only in the Small Body V-Cutter style. All other degrees are available in both
regular
V-Cutter and
Small Body V-Cutter styles.
See
V-Cutter Specifications and
Small Body V-Cutter Specifications
if you are not clear on the differences between these body styles. All V-Cutters are threaded to screw onto our
arbors, which are sold separately.
